InAtTheDeepEnd
Just a musing. There's freshwater aquarist societies. Stuff for livevearers/goldfish/koi/anabantoids..... Are there any clubs or similar for marine/reef keepers? And a thought you may thank the Shiraz for - if there's not we should make our own 🤷😆 1 Quote Link to comment

There’s 3 smaller places (1-6 tanks) actually in Blackpool area and then a Maidenhead aquatics marine but that’s still up the motorway to get to so isn’t somewhere you can nip to. After that our next “big” places for a good trip to spend some £££ is kraken corals in Accrington and Burscough aquatics in Ormskirk but they are an hours drive or abyss aquatics Manchester which is <1.5 hours. I tend to save up then go for the day to one of the bigger ones unless a local one has a sale on. You also find because they know shopping is limited here the prices are high. ( upto £40 for a common zoa frag of 5 heads). I do wish I was more inland, even Manchester area seems to have much more in the way of LFS so the cost in petrol is usually cheaper than the inflated price of the coral you want. where are you? 2 Quote Link to comment

Isn’t that the one with hugely mixed reviews on the staff manners or am I confused there? If you havent already, give worldwide ocean frags UK a look on Facebook, he’s in Preston but posts. Hes not hugely known as he’s still “selling out of his house” sort of thing but the quality is spot on and Jay is a great guy. 2 Quote Link to comment

In my opinoon f*cking useless No I realised I was thinking of h2o aquatics. Awful experience myself, you wouldn’t believe what he called me.. seems to be a trend with the couple that owns it. I haven’t bought from charter house before but I’ll be sure to give it a miss! Swell UK seem a little naff with online orders too I must admit. 2 Quote Link to comment
