Xj reefing
The other day I noticed on my gsp some sort of brown growth like a polyp that never seems to close and I don’t think it is aptasia. Could it just be a brown gsp polyp? Quote Link to comment

But it does look a lot like an aptasia. Pocking it with a stick don't close it ? 31 minutes ago, Xj reefing said: Could it just be a brown gsp polyp? 🤨 GSP polyp seems to have 8 tentacles. Your brown thing have more than 8. 1 Quote Link to comment
DaJMasta
Definitely looks like a pest nem to me, probably aiptasia, but there should be some things you can check and be sure: If you poke it, does it retract quickly and does it leave any kind of stalk/shell/tube or does it just roll down into a little outie belly button thing. Quickly and the latter is a nem. Has it moved to a different place? Yes is a nem. Quote Link to comment

Xj reefing
I thought it looked like some pest nem but I was not sure. If it is a majano how should I get rid of it Quote Link to comment

For example, Aptasia X or super gluing over it after it has retracted; they even sell majano wands. If trying to kit it; I might touch it, so that it retracts, and then use superglue gel to cover over it. That said (and the fact that they are usually considered a pest), some people decide to keep majano anemones. They are not quite as bad as aiptasia. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
If it is a Majano i'd be tempted to try and cut it out the main mat, see if anyone would want it. I'm too far away but looks interesting enough to try and save Quote Link to comment
