What is the best light that I can put on there that can maybe be in the lid. And what are your tanks that you recomend for under $210 for a pair of clowns. Quote Link to comment
Jaren45 Posted June 23, 2021 Share Posted June 23, 2021 I don't think any light strong enough to grow an anemone will fit under the hood. You'll most likely need something like an ai prime or similar spec'd lighting. The fluval will probably be the cheapest option for a pair of clowns. If you wanted any cheaper you'd be buying a generic petco tank with a hang on back filter. Quote Link to comment
DevilDuck Posted June 23, 2021 Share Posted June 23, 2021 I've done it before, See my Tank Journal in my signature. I had to add supplemental lighting to the stock lid. I put the anemone in a 3 months old tank. If I had to do it over again I would have waited until after parameters stabilized at 6 months+. I got lucky, your results may vary. Also my bubble tip anemone never hosted my clowns. If the clown/anemone interaction is what you'r trying to achieve, it is not guaranteed. 1 Quote Link to comment
