RyanReef
I know this is a crap picture and hard to make out, but appears to be a lil purple snail with some black and white on it its back? I can see 2 lil antenna moving around on the front. Any clue? Definitely not something I bought (on purpose) Quote Link to comment
Tired
Yeah, looks like a snail. You could try to catch it, very gently in case it's a stomatella and has a fragile shell, and put it in a cup to photograph better. That's a nice RFA there. I like the striped ones. Quote Link to comment
RyanReef
So most likely it hitchhiked in on a coral I bought or did my snails mate? Thanks yeah that rock flower has been growing well. It's one of two pinstripes I have in the tank... The other one is much larger and has a little bit of a purple hue to it which is pretty cool... He ploped himself down right on my top rock Quote Link to comment
Zer0
Did you get actual live rock? Because if not then it surely came in on one of your frags. Stomatella are good though, and super cute. Quote Link to comment
RyanReef
No live rock, no. Ok so it isn't harmful? Quote Link to comment
Zer0
No stomatella are good guys 1 Quote Link to comment
Tired
Snails that mate produce baby versions of themselves, not new kinds of snails. That's probably harmless. If it's a stomatella, it's definitely harmless. Quote Link to comment
