Carnthetiges Posted May 12, 2021 Share Posted May 12, 2021 I recently picked up a royal dottyback that was to be the last fish for my nano. Other inhabitants are a pair of clowns and some trochus. The dottyback's been fine but the female clown has turned her back on the smaller male biting him mercilessly any time he sticks his head out from behind the powerhead. He's in the a mesh box recovering but may need to be re-homed if the female keeps up. (I've noticed she's just started to host a fluffy rhodactis, curious if that's related). So that leaves a sometimes angry clown and a dottyback in a 15g. Any recommendations on a 3rd tankmate that's reefsafe? Would love a coral goby but fear it won't be able to handle the dottyback if it takes exception - any recommendations on something small that can hold its own if the dottyback starts to get upset?
