SaltyGallon
A friend just sent me these pics for ID and I'm truly stumped! At first I was thinking some kind of micro acan or blasto but then he sent me pics of the close ups and the strange linkage between the clusters and I'm thinking some wacky structured sponge or filter feeder?! Each cluster has multiple heads around a central opening. Answers on the back of a postcard please... Thanks 👍🏼 1 2 Quote Link to comment
DaJMasta
My guess would be some sort of colonial tunicate - haven't seen that interesting a coloration, but I've got a few that are similar small cups arranged in shapes on the rock, and living in a larger group with a central vent seems fairly common. 4 Quote Link to comment
SaltyGallon
Thanks mate that was where I'd gotten to so far too. This is similar, albeit a bigger colony? 2 Quote Link to comment
