Xj reefing
2 mins ago my elegance fell out of it skeleton slightly. I was holding it upside down to get some large bristle worms of the base and to also remove so hair algae. As I was holding it half of it flesh just started to dangle down out of the skeleton. I have placed it in a low flow area but am now wonder If it will regrow/reattach itself? Quote Link to comment
growsomething
I've heard lps polyp bailout is a last ditch effort for a stressed coral to survive, but I have never seen this. Maybe someone with experience will chime in. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
I've never had it happen to an elegance but yes, polyp bailout is usually not a good sign. Possibly the flesh got torn from being hung upside down. 1 Quote Link to comment
Xj reefing
I have had a hammer that bailed out but never new that by Having the elegance upside down for a few seconds would cause that Quote Link to comment

Elegance aren't easy corals and do suffer from disease, thats a more likely scenario. Quote Link to comment
Xj reefing
The coral looked really healthy before this happened. But it is strange that only half of it fell out Quote Link to comment
