Hello,

I’m looking at getting an AI Prime 16 HD for my fluval evo 13.5, as my stock lighting is on its last legs. What mount would you suggest and what length of mount?

I got the non-flex mount. I read stories about the flex mount not staying upright.  From what I read it looked to be years ago, possibly user error, but I figured I'd go with the rigid mount.  My LFS also only had the 12" and I was not sure that would get to the center of the Evo and the height from where I wanted to mount it.

 

I have mine centered and about 8" off the water surface.

I liked the regular mount, not the flex mount. 

 

 

Height of light should be between 8- 15" from water surface

I also purchased the rigid mount.

It have 2 flex mounts. They are solid, like you need to take them off the tank to bend them into position solid. Really good unit's
