ohhh, wow.  I actually didn't quite make it out as a fish, I thought it was some sort of striations on the oral disc.  sorry man

While the display is fallow (until 10/1/21), I think I will add a group of peppermint shrimp to the display in order to tackle the
Aptasia currently plaguing the tank.

Hopefully my current fish make it through quarantine, but this extremely unfortunate event has made me reflect on what direction I want to take the tank.  So far this Ich outbreak has killed: Mombassa lionfish, Flame angel, Bluethroat trigger, Red bandtail waspfish.

I will be quarantining all new fish additions from now on, and potentially all coral additions as well….. the past three weeks have been brutal.  I am also debating removing the sand from my Aquarium. I have never had an Ich outbreak like this when I ran bare bottom tanks.

So far there have been no other casualties in QT, all of the other dish seem to be doing better. I will have to keep them In QT until October 1st.

Now I just have to decide on what other fish I want to put in there with them.

I think I want another copperband butterfly fish, bluethroat triggerfish, and a tang of some type. I would also consider getting another Mombasa lionfish, or a marine Betta, or potentially even a bananna eel.

It’s true, and I have three of them

There’s a smaller one that has been at my lfs for a while and I’m thinking of purchasing it. Any tips or advice? I keep reading about how hard they are to keep alive.

How are you liking the unos? Are they super purple or more light blue in spectrum?

I like them. Ans both too be honest. If I turn the violets down, it’s more of a crisp blue. If you run all of the “blue” channels at 100, then I would say it’s more of a purple/blue.
