Yeah, I imagine that live phytoplankton is best.  It'd be a lot more cost effective to culture your own.  It's a fun little project.  I could walk you through it if you are interested.

Done, 3 x 16oz plus a small 6oz bottle of phyto (bigger bottles were out of stock or did not have the "live" mention)

Try candy corals. It showed in stock.

Its an awesome store. the owner is a highly respected person in the hobby.

Buying from a store in Ontario will get to you faster than from BC.

Not at all.  A couple of clear water bottles, an air pump, airline tubing, a standard 75W equiv LED light bulb (daylight spectrum), and some F/2 fertilizer.

I'll start by getting the pods but I'll surely keep that in mind

With Canada Post you would be lucky if it left the originating post office by the next day. 😂

So when I get the pods, I wait for the lights to be out, turn off the pomps, and just dump 48 oz in the tank?

Thats their instructions. I left all filtration and water movement off. I think it suggests an hr.

Did you get phytoplankton? Because thats what feeds the pods.

I ordered a small 6oz bottle of Tigger pods on May 12 from JLAquatics. Put them in my 20H the next day.

Here is a picture of my front glass today covered in them,

No fish currently but I'm trying to get a captive bred dragonette.

Can't say I did not think of adding one now that there will be food for it... but I'm not there yet.

One of the reasons I want captive bred versus ocean harvested is that they are not reliant on pods but eat prepared food as well without training. I'm being very selective when it comes to fish, thinking also a Coral Beauty but can't get over the feeling my tank is too small.
