Dpatron1977
Saw this guy cruzing arround in the rock, and junk holding tank. Any positive ID? Quote Link to comment
Joevember
Stomatella, good guy to have. Quote Link to comment
Dpatron1977
If it is it's getting put in the reef. I have yet to see a stomatella with no antenna. This guy has what look like teddy bear ears. Someone else said seahair, and from what I gather they too have a small plate under the tissue. Thoughts? Quote Link to comment
seabass
Yeah, the pics aren't great, but it doesn't really look like a stomatella snail to me. IDK, might look more like a sea hare. Check out images and videos of sea hares to see if that's what you have. Quote Link to comment
Dpatron1977
Yeah I know the pics are not great. I should have removed it for the photo. Instead of trying to image through the glass. Maybe next time I see it. 1 Quote Link to comment
NoOneLikesADryTang
Doesn't look like a polyclad to me - they're pretty flat, and can sneak in and out of crevices of rocks. This is a fun read, if you've got a few minutes. Quote Link to comment
Dpatron1977
I do now believe you may be right. I found it again and it does have a significant external shell. I have never personally seen a blue one without antenna. On 4/11/2021 at 10:10 PM, Joevember said: Stomatella, good guy to have. Quote Link to comment
