SaltyTanks
Can anyone help me ID this pink-orange softy? It's sitting in the LFS looking so fluffy and gorgeous - I want it so bad. Thanks! 1 Quote Link to comment

Jungle_vip
It’s a carnation coral, strawberry coral, or the actual name of dendronepthya. Very beautiful coral. It is an expert level specimen. If you don’t have much experience I would recommend staying away. They have perished in many aquariums. Do some research on their care requirements if you just have to have it but more than likely it will be difficult or impossible for a beginner or novice aquarist. Quote Link to comment

It’s an nps softies, takes a bit more effort in feeding routine etc. that said, it looks like a very healthy specimen, might be worth a shot. Quote Link to comment
MrP
This is a Scleronephthya which is similar to a Dendronepthya. Although they are said to be a bit easier to keep than a Dendronepthya, they are still considered an expert only coral. Quote Link to comment
