DevilDuck
Not sure how I missed this tank journal! Your tank looks amazing! I'm going to keep my eye out for a green kenya tree now. Sorry about the loss of the pink streak wrasse, they look very similar to possum wrasses. Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
Live aquaria denied my claim they said want another picture of the dead fish....I re sent my claim with a other shot of it to try again. Not too happy with them right now it's dead what so they want a disection?! 2 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
So now they accepted the claim but the only one in stock is a "blemish" that I swear looks like it's got tail rot of some kind. Ugh! I would be fine with a torn or bent fin or some odd color blotch but if it is sick I alredy lost a healthy one I doubt an impaired one would survive shipping. 1 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
I have a sudden abundance of stomatella snails in this tank I've started exporting them to the other 20 and the 2.5 unfortunatly some droped there foot...oh well...free Lps food...😖 ew. 1 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
New goodies! The derasa is in the rfa tank now it seems to be ok with the move. New very blue very sparkly Crocea clam. A bit pricy but I prefer to get things like this in person. He looks even better in this tank than he did in the store! Evreythings only been in a few min so far. Also fts just prior to clam swap. Also moved the red and green favites to my new 2.5g. My camera cant even handle how blue this thing is in person. 1 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
Some of my new zoas are opening up. Ones still only partly open the mystery name one. The iluminati and mary jane zoas are actualy nicer and brighter in person. The iluminati have more speckles in person too. I'm realy happy with how bright they are. I was trying to take pics of the zoas but check out the clam when the flash caught it. It looks like a nebula lol space clam! 1 Quote Link to comment
debbeach13
Sorry about your troubles with LA. That clam is gorgeous and the tank looks great. Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
Blue eyed blonde bit😱es or not? At first they look like them but they are very very yellow some I've seen have a slight splotch pattern on them but the splotch/spatter pattern is Lot more intense on these and some of these are also developing a bit if orange on the lips. Maby it's just a sub morph of the same or due to lighting. Unless someone knows what they are. Also some fts. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
So the zoas are actualy speckled fire and ice they are a less common and less well known morph but also quite under appreciated these things are super bright and almost look metalic in the right light. My crocia finaly atached but its color is morphing slightly the brownish gold markings are getting more prominent and the darker blue parts if the mantle are leaning more towards black now with the glittery blue and green flecks and around the edge increasing in number and size I'm guessing this is a good color change and that it's much happier in my tank than at the lfs. LazyFish
Big bristle worm was caught stealing from my favia this morning. He had to go. Fully stretched out reaching in the tank he was probly minimum 10 inches. Look at it next to the normal sized one that was with it. Biggest one I've ever had in a tank. 1 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
Im realy wondering if I need to spend a few nights inspecting for more of these monsters. Quote Link to comment

Part of the fun is checking the tank out at night to see what pops up. I don't go out of my way to remove bristleworms from my 20H but if a large one like that provides the opportunity I will. LazyFish
So I ordered a new thing....scolymia vitiensis. I've been wanting a scoly.I toned down the colors and contrast on there pic especialy the red still a lovely piece. I find unique corals the reds and pinks are the most common color thats allways oversaturated.not the one I wanted originaly actualy. I tried to ask about that ones health due to some tearing visable in the picture and it disapeared from the site with no reply. There was no "sold" image as they usualy have after a purchase. I guess they took it down to let it heal. This one near identical colors appeared a little bit later. The other ones outer ring was closer to blue green tho instead of a mix of green and white but it was extreamly close. Theres is some skeleton spikes poking through in a couple of spots but this kind of scoly often gets dammaged in shipping. Its alot better than the one I originaly asked about had sevral whole skeletal ridge was showing through sevral tears right at the pale green stripes and was hard to see at first due to the flesh color. 3 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
My new special piece Holy grail micromussa this picture is actualy prety close to the actual color I can practically see this thing from across the house. 2 medium polyps and one slightly dammaged polyp and a very tiny one that's not visable right now. Scolymia vitiensis its actualy brighter in person idk why my camera didnt like it. 2 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
The 2.5g had....issues I droped the light in the tank twice and the canister went and 💩 out on me. So the corals were put in this one and I took it down. Havent cleaned the glass on a while a bit overdue for the water change too. Havent posted in a while. Got a new lense set for my camera trying it out. Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
Filters used with the blues now people can see what I do when the lights ramp up and down. Its early so not everything is open yet. Oh and my spotted cleaner is visable for once on his favorite rfa the 2 faced one. Also bouncing yuma with green base and neon green mouth. Acording to the store it's a baby off of one in there display tank that is quite big. It actualy has very large vesicles and flouresses slightly peach on the bubbles and green on the disk under blues it looks kind of bland under day lights but the growth pattern looks real neat in person it jiggles in the current in a cute way. It's deflated here this is right after adding it was prety cheep so I grabbed it. I'll try to get some pics under blues and showing the bubbles when it attaches. 1 Quote Link to comment

LazyFish
Some new zoas. Pink diamonds and rastas. Got the old frag rack out and found an old mag plug may put another coral on the wall there something encrusting maby or another chalice. Theres a single pink diamond polyp that broke loose and a bizarro cyphastrea that's growing out on the fray rack curently. The crocea seems to be doing ok under the prime hd lights. And heres my shrimp doing a happy dance. Quote Link to comment

blue02celi
love the pics, it looks soo crystal clear and bright colored. Just got a 20 Peninsula myself but was looking around for a stand, might follow what you did, looks simple enough to follow and just stain it up instead of browsing on FB marketplace at nightstands or end tables hoping they can hold up the weight like ive been doing lol. Not sure if I just missed it, but what do you have in your chambers? mine came without media caddy so not sure if I want to just replace it with new one or use them for something different. Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
I have an intank media caddy in chamber one. I have filter floss and chemipure blue in it sometimes a add a small bag of carbon or whatever and throw it in the pump chamber or cram it in the caddy. Chamber 2 is an eshopps nano skimmer. And theres the maxijet 326gph pump set to the highest and fastest pulse setting in #3. My heater was wedged in chamber 2 on an ink bird but I moved it into the display because it was so cramped in there and it just shocked the other day so it's been removed again..my skimmer gives me micro bubbles sometimes in this tank but never on the standard nuvo 20 I even swapped skimmers and its the same. I think something to do with the design of the tank rather than the skimmers. I dont usualy run heaters but started after a bad winter storm here last year so its fine without it for now...looking for a better replacement heater rn. Quote Link to comment
