waldoz
So found these guys son the glass on hammers trunks. I don't even know how they got in my tank. They just look like little grains of sand until you look really close. They look to be on the trunk of my splatter hammer. Anyone have any ideas? Also had to throw this in. It seems to be doing well where it's at. Our cats paw is barely hanging in there. Been trying to get it back to it's glory days. I fear we are not doing a good job. Right now it's at about 225 -250 par. I hope it makes a comeback as this is our second round at Cats Paw 🐾 1 Quote Link to comment

waldoz
Yeah picked up this guy. Actually we got two and the other one didn't make it. I think he was freaking out on the way home. The PJ this guy were not getting along at first but settled down and are fine now. I also picked up a sps coral it almost totally bleached out, but making comeback. I think I want to turn my lights up. I lost all my settings with the ai update. Good news is they must have fixed something as I can now get back into the app. I want to be able to have some spa on top. Trying to get the salinity back to normal. I put the float switch on wrong and it was not secure. One more water change should put us back. I'm on my phone if you can't tell. Soon to have more pictures, still chugging along. 2 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
My stick is making it! Had an ATO prob just after we go it. Looks like we got it sorted. 😁 1 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Top shot, need to fill this thing up. 3 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
So my stick is not making it on the left side. It's probably because I have not checked anything for months. I did get to finally use my Christmas present yesterday. Picked this up supposed to be easier to take care of. It immediately opened up and it's close to the hottest spot in the tank. I just think we are Ultra Low Maintenance peeps .😆 Did a water change last week. Not much else going on. We have 3 blue legs and two snails. We forgot to pick up some more. Probably need to get some more snails. Going to have to get some soon or it's probably going to start going down hill. 1 Quote Link to comment
ml86743
those little worms on your glass are spirorbid worms, can't keep em out. Harmless filter feeders but they can get pretty thick in overflows and AIO sumps and what not. 1 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
I think we need to downsize plus possible out of state move. Tank is up for sale on local forum if you're in my area and interested pm me. The whole thing is probably going and might trade for smaller setup. Quote Link to comment
waldoz
So still got the tank. Going to give it another go. Swapped two Coral with a buddy at work GSP as ours died, weird. We got a Favia? Not sure he is not good with names. Dark green and florescent inside. Did a 10 gallon water change yesterday sand looks terrible and hermit crabs are brawling and few have gotten ripped out of their shells. Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Pic upload! My chalice seems happier here. I also turned down the lights some more toward LPS range. Frogspawn has always done good no matter what. Picked up some Eagle Eyes. Got some Mohawks back in the tank too. For some reason these are not spreading very well. I think they're called Nuclear Green Paley The Scans are closed up as I just fed them. I am hoping that the light Change will help with these guys. They never look like they are supposed to.lol I also changed the water flow and my hammers seem happier. I did loose my splatter hammer and wish I was able to keep it. I hope this one doesn't fade off because of the light change. There is a hot spot right where it's at currently. Should find out in a couple of weeks. And one of two green Star polyp. I have a larger one on the back wall and hope it takes there. Going to do some more trading hopefully and start to fill out the tank. If there are any locals that want to trade for some frogspawn hit me up, would like to get some more variety in the tank. 3 Quote Link to comment
rimga123
don't throw away you splatter hammer skeleton, it might still come back. could happen after a month or a year though, can never know Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Hmm, welp little late for that. 😬 I will keep that in mind the next time something dies. Funny thing was my other hammers were fine. These ones just didn't like the tank. Oh also my frogspawn is NOT frogspawn, it's actually a Frammer. I traded over the weekend for actual Frogspawn. lol Quote Link to comment
Lebowski_
I definitely feel like there is some bleaching going on there. Those Nuke polyps are usually opaque green, never seen them that light. My Frogspawn looked like yours, I moved it to a dimmer spot with a bit less flow and it coloured up again over two weeks or so. Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Yup I've turned down my lights more towards LPS settings and might turn them down some more. Just depends how my only stick I have does. This is my Actual Frogspawn I got on trade. Think I am going to do some more fragging. My Duncans are getting pretty clumped, but need to order a diamond cutting wheel for the Dremel. 2 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Well the time finally came and I took down the 60 cube. I have moved everything thing temporarily to the new 10g IM fusion. Going to start a new thread for that tank an will post up. It's been good learning experience an we still have a ways to go. Two of the reasons we took down the 60 is cost and room. I feel on a smaller level we will be able to manage those better. Hope you guys want to follow along again. Thanks for all the help over the last couple of years.👍 1 Quote Link to comment
