Bristleworm vs Fireworm

Looks kind of like the "orange fireworms" people had mixed opinions about being safe back when gulf live rock was more common. They definitely come in white coloration, and it's kind of thicker than I'd expect for a totally benign detritus eater.

 

But I'm not the one to ask, definitely one of the prettier I've seen.

Looks like something that would turn into a beautiful butterfly! Nothing like my creepy looking bristleworms. Sorry I can’t really help, but thanks for posting... very cool looking!!

very large caruncle on the head, possibly even a young hermodice or close relative if you want to keep him keep him in the sump, unless you have no sps corals such as acropora, porites, montipora and seriatopora.
