DevilDuck
I added my first soft coral to the tank, a lovely purple and green toadstool. I noticed that the polyps extend and contract multiple times throughout the day. The polyps come for a hour or two then they all contract and stay hidden for a few hours. Is this normal? nanoreeFan
They did the same for me, It was a tricky coral for me to keep happy, I never knew why. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Its normal. Leathers take awhile to acclimate to new environments, also anything that touches them can cause the polyps to retract. Even after a waterchange, a leather can ve grumpy for hrs to days. 2 Quote Link to comment
