Zer0 Posted July 4, 2022 Share Posted July 4, 2022 Yeah once the tank gets to a comfortable point it basically becomes effortless. Like cruise control. Just small things to be done like scraping algae, dusting off rocks, changing filter pads, typical stuff like that. All of this is infinitely easier and less time consuming on nano tanks in my opinion. Cheaper too lol. 1 Quote Link to comment

I just did a 20% water change, rinsed the filter sponge and replaced the carbon after 6 months. My nitrates were unmeasurable using the salifert test. SG is kept steady at 1.026 by topping off about 250 ml per day. I clean the glass once or twice each week. I only did a water change so I could slide the aquarium to a different location.
