michaelbog
A friend of mine is taking down his tank. I grabbed some stuff from him. I didn’t even bother asking what it was. Can I get a ID please. 1 Quote Link to comment

Reeferadicto13
Looks like a nepthea ( soft coral) but I’m not sure Quote Link to comment

Jungle_vip
Could be sinularia or nepthea. Hard to tell in photo. Even in person can be tough. Sinularia usually has these bony little stick things called sclerites that can be seen in the base of the coral. It’s part of the skeleton structure. Nepthea do not have this from what I understand. I’ve also read that there is a difference in the polyps but am not 100 percent on that. I had a sinularia where the sclerites were easily seen where the coral was attached to the rock. Hopefully that helps. Quote Link to comment
