I agree I can’t get GSP to grow much or even be colored in my big tank, and I thought it was coral for dummies. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Its strange eh! I can't get simple sps to stay alive for more than a month. But softies and Zoas! I can't stop them running away... 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Just found my lost colony of Kryptonite zoas in a very cold bucket of rock next to the shed! Had to remove q good chunk of them as they where mush 😱 Been there since last weekend!!! Gave the rest of them a check over and glued them up in the DT to see how it goes... Offending bucket Zoas glued up 2 1 Quote Link to comment

Same here and I have Bubble Tips splitting and Xenia growing like a weed. Even the Kenya Tree is starting to show a bit of size. Might glue it to the Lionfish Lair Blackwall and forget about it 3 hours ago, Murphych said: Just found my lost colony of Kryptonite zoas in a very cold bucket of rock next to the shed! Offending bucket Zoas glued up I think they will bounce back, the polyps don't look too damaged and looks like a nice clean frag 👌 2 Quote Link to comment

Sometimes I miss when people follow me since IG only shows like the most recent 30 notifications and then suggests following people after that, but doesn’t tell you consistently if those suggested follow you or not. Tamberav
corals can be so resilient that I wonder how we kill them sometimes. I once forgot a monti on my kitchen counter out of water... just sitting there and it lived. Just the edge died back a bit. 4 Quote Link to comment

Yeah it's crazy.. some people can't seem to keep corals alive in a perfectly good tank with good parameters.. I seem to be able to ice dip them for days and they just chill out for a while.. 🤣 1 1 Quote Link to comment

I once forgot a monti on my kitchen counter out of water... just sitting there and it lived. Just the edge died back a bit. I agree about the resiliency bit. I vaguely remember accidently leaving my tiny favites frag in a container with dishwashing liquid (diluted) for ~2 days when I TTMed my pico to my current nano (basically forgot I stacked a few of the small frags in my HOB for safekeeping during the transfer, then washed the HOB out and missed transferring out one frag). 🤦♀️ Hunted everywhere for the frag, found it incredibly pissed and retracted due to the unwanted bath-soaking, but it actually made a full recovery and bounced back in my nano. 👍 1 3 Quote Link to comment
brandon429
So far I’ve been able to filter out three people with simple invasions from doing a rip clean by showing them your five minute read 🙂 this is a compliment btw they realize the degree of personal resolve it would take to rinse sand into total compliance, and selecting to remain invaded is far preferable to running a half rinse job. Excellent. 1/100 offers will be as resolved as you are, and when the minority resolved to win post their rip cleans there won’t be any excuses or clouding, just perfectly clean home reefs. owning a perpetually-uninvaded nano reef takes zero skill, it’s all will to copy ten steps. The skill comes into prevention, so we aren’t rip cleaning weekly There’s literally not any excuse to have a wrecked tank where all viewers are disappointed, that condition can be fixed in three hours by any nano reef owner. for decades we’ve been trained to make excuses for complete sustained invasion: it’s the uglies. It’s going to pass, cleaning is destabilizing etc its all untrue, we waste animals and time/money to months and years of invasion by simply allowing invasions that could be otherwise stopped 2 Quote Link to comment
