If they aren't outrageous to ship to the US I may try their small one soon.. Oh they are outrageously priced, the bracket is £90 hence getting it free... No chance I'm paying that lol 1 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
As a part of my #nano-reno I put these lads up top replacing 3 Prime 16HDs... Need to be careful not to fry the tank dry though lol 3 1 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Next part of my nano-reno is to get rid of the aips, started on the sump today.... Jesus that needs a deep clean but for now just the Aiptasia.. I'll bomb the display with Aiptasia-x tomorrow. Check these pure glass beasts from the dark sump (oh yeah the pixel 7 pro camera is kick ass): 1 2 Quote Link to comment

Ended up getting several peppermint shrimp for my 32 to finally get the aiptasia back under control in the past few weeks in that tank. 1 Quote Link to comment

Its a mixed bag.it will nail the small ones but not really do anything for the big fellas. I have 6 peppermints but because I feed the tank a lot of meat they don't do much with the Aiptasia. 1 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Next up, cut the GSP down to the water level as it's grown right up above the level by an inch and has almost closed the weir combs off completely... And that's how you make £50 from nothing... bunch of frags now ready to be glued and sold on! 4 1 Quote Link to comment

Murphs_Reef
Along with the 50 litre RO, 2 part epoxy and glue gel, I picked up a few snails to bulk up the CUC turbos, Astreas and Ceriths. So probably back up to around 50 or 60 snails after letting them dwindle down.. also got a few frags to put on the rack Orange Leptoseris and Geen Montipora 3 Quote Link to comment

InAtTheDeepEnd
lol, is 11.4 high for you? my tanks running at 11.5 right now and it's always been about that. Also what test kit are you using for Mg? I need to get another one....dropped my salifert one and soaked the kitchen table in reagent.... Quote Link to comment

Use Hanna for KH and Phosphate and salifert for the rest 👍🏼 1 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
So since updating the light to the Reef Factory reef flare... Wow the tank has turned a corner.. massive uptake in kh and calcium 4 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Still only needing 155w of a 240w potential... Amazing having so much head room 2 1 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Finally a solution I'm "ok" with... HOWEVER I might pop out and swap the DD auto top off and doser with the reef factory units... And MAYBE get the salinity guard...only so the app auto sorts the tank out post test result input... Not that I'm lazy?? What me?! Never.... Reef factory dashboard (as you can see my dosing is a bit heavy handed)🧐 3 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Ah man don't have time for buying stuff tomorrow.. need to sort boxing stuff up to send to @InAtTheDeepEnd asap.... I'm on the clock 😅 1 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Some.of my snails just like being out of water for days... the return line makes a great coastal rock 2 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
Broke off the big rock with pandora covering it (it's a rock that would fill a 15 gallon for scale).. it's now in tap water outside in the cold... These things should never be sold.. might look nice but I would sooner have Aiptasia that these... And to think I bought them!! 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment
InAtTheDeepEnd
what's pandora? those look like sad zoanthids.... Quote Link to comment
