MrMatt
Hello all, I saw this crab in my sand bed this morning. It tried burying itself before making a quick dash into some live rock, I was able to coax it out for a quick photo session. Its about 2cm across the carapace. I am thinking xanthid, but I don't know my marine arthropods. Thank! 1 1 Quote Link to comment
MrMatt
It doesn't have the black tipped claws I've seen typically associated with a gorilla crab but I'm still suspicious, anyone encountered a similar critter? The color/patterning is somewhat reminiscent of an Actaea sp. but that could be a superficial resemblance I know. Quote Link to comment
