Question about a laminate board top for my diy stand

Does cutting a project board (laminate) weaken it in any way? I'll be putting a 15 gallon tank on it and was curious. Oh, and a few photos of my days work. 

I could leave the board as is but I kinda liked the look of having it flush on the top.
