Algae Bubbles

I have these greenish bubbles growing on a few rocks in my tank. It started as one and has grown since.

 

Has anyone ever seen these before? Is it safe to disturb them?

thats bubble algae 😄 they are pretty hard if you ever try to poke them. If theres only a little bit in your tank, you can try to remove them. If it gets bad, I used reef vibrant to get rid of the bubble algae in my tank

Emerald crabs took care of mine, but you won't have any algae in your tank, including ornamental.

Each bubble is actually a single cell - they are the largest known single cell organism and can get bigger than a golf ball. They are pretty cool as far as algae go.

 

Easy to scrape off or just leave them be if they aren't rapidly multiplying.

i took the rock out i found them on and pried them off with the point of a knife when i did a water change, then put the rock back in.
