growsomething Posted November 15, 2021 Share Posted November 15, 2021 We have something similar to that wash up on the West coast of FL. They are 6-9" long, and the inside is mother of pearl. Tourists love them for decoration! If they're that big over there, that would be huge in a nano. Quote Link to comment
michael_cb_125 Posted November 15, 2021 Share Posted November 15, 2021 They are commonly called pen shells. They stayed buried about 3/4 of the way in substrate, and are voracious filter feeders. I have kept them in the past with mixed results. Longest I have been able to achieve was almost 2 years.. 1 Quote Link to comment
