However, the DI resin would last a really long time with source water like that. Tap water quality tends to change with things like storms. A RO system would help with that too. Is it possible to use tap water in a situation like this? Possibly. I would make sure to do larger water changes to help avoid build up of unwanted elements from repeatedly topping off your tank (due to evaporation). 1 Quote Link to comment
