Robo241
I'm wondering if people are putting two heaters (for redundancy) in their back compartment. One under the skimmer and the other??? I plan on switching primaries between the two heaters, one run during the day one at night using an Inkbird controller and having my Apex be the backup. Thoughts? Quote Link to comment
mcarroll
Two small heaters (with the correct total watts for your setup...don't oversize) is a good idea as you have some redundancy. You shouldn't need a controller to be involved, and they should both run simultaneously and be set to the same temperature. One should naturally run more and the other should mainly only kick on if the first heater stops working. Make sure you have at least one thermometer in the tank (I usually have two) that you can regularly check to assure proper tank temperature every day. Quote Link to comment
