dferrari13 Posted January 10 Hey guys, I have started a new reef tank. This tank is my third reef tank and actually used to be freahwater. It was located upstairs but my daughter will be walking soon and I decided to move the tank to my man cave, to avoid my daughter banging into the tank and possibly getting hurt. So here's what I'm working with.... Start Date: 1/6/2021 EQUIPMENT: -37 Gallon Aqueon Tank -Aquaclear 70 HOB -Nero 5 -2x Hydor koralia 240 -300 Watt Aqueon Heater -Duetto Dual-sensor ATO by XP Aqua -2x Prime 16 HD with 2x 12inch Flex arms ROCKSCAPE: -40 lbs of Carib Sea LifeRock -20lbs of Special Grade Agra-Alive Reef Sand 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
dferrari13 Posted January 12 This tank is located in my man cave so that the kid don't knock into it (and so my wife doesn't see all the new expensive corals lol) 3 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

dferrari13 Posted January 14 I ordered a huge 24 inch arch for the top of the aquascape and a glass lid to prevent evaporation. They get here today, so we'll see how that looks. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

dferrari13 Posted February 21 Flow Rate Calculations Aquaclear 70 = 300gph Koralia pumps(2) = 480 gph Nero 5 = 2,193 gph Total = 2,973 gph 2973÷60= 49.55 times turn over rate per hr. How much is your turn over rate? Quote Share this post Link to post

How much is your turn over rate? That's a lot! But I'm right there too, 50.5. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
