nevets9333 Posted January 5, 2021 Share Posted January 5, 2021 Finally decided to get this thread started. I tried to start up this tank with supplies I already had laying around for the most part. Tank: Eheim Aquastyle 9 (used to be a planted tank setup. I took cut a piece of acrylic and drilled holes in it to make a back chamber for the filtration). I made the stand out of 2X4s and a couple coats of stain Filtration: Chemipure blue nano Sponge/filter floss Caribsea Shroom Rock ( this has been cooking in my basement for almost a year) Equipment: Maxijet 400 Coralbox qp-5 wavemaker Eheim 50W heater AI Prime 16 HD (only piece of equipment I had to buy) Livestock: Tail Spot Blenny Fire Shrimp Quote Link to comment

What do you feed? Thanks. Yes I did at first. He would half go for the food the spit it out. Tried a few different foods. I have had the best luck feeding him Hikari Seaweed Extreme small pellets. I love your tank! Both great fish for nano tanks, I have had both at one time or another. The YCG I found was not as active. Cool fish but always chilling on the rock. My tail spot at first was very shy, but after a while got comfortable and is out and about all the time. 1 Quote Link to comment

Mine was the same way, finally got him some Ocean Nutrition Seaweed. He loves it. He spends most of the day munching on it. Quote Link to comment
