Obami
Hi, I'm setting up my first nano (9.6g), and I'm into porcelain crabs. What's the difference between blue porcelain and green? Which is bigger? Which is prettier? Which is harder? Quote Link to comment
Tired
They're more or less the same. The blues might be a tad larger? The greens can be kept in small groups, but don't require it. Both are reasonably hardy as long as you feed them- give them bits of your usual food with a pipette or tweezers. They filter-feed, but shouldn't be expected to rely on just that for their food in a small tank. The greens, interestingly, are an introduced species around the gulf coast. I've found them under rocks right at the edge of the water. If you have access to the gulf, check if they're in your area- you might be able to pick some up wild. Quote Link to comment

Tamberav
Don’t forget porcelain anemone crabs 🙂 Quote Link to comment
Tired
Those are great too. I've heard it said that they only thrive with a host, though, so they might be best for a tank with a rock flower anemone or two. 1 Quote Link to comment

I have found that they will live on just about anything including Xenia lol but I think watching them go bananas over a nem is always worth it. Mine used to try and duel the clowns for the nem waving his arms like a mad man. He always lost... the nem eventually split and now both the crab and clowns are happy. 2 Quote Link to comment
