Emerald Crab - gaps in shell after a molt...

Hi all!

One of my emerald crabs has just molted in the last 48hrs. He’s already out and about, eating algae and crawling over the rocks. But I noticed he’s got some gaps between his shell, most prominent where the joints in his claws meet.  I don’t think it’s causing him any issues as he’s happily going about his day but I found it interesting and thought I’d share.

Has anyone else seen this in their crabs?
