Looks much better, good solution. Just be careful the light doesn't blast anything to death.

Thanks...

I still have 23 days until the acclimation is finished, but this is what my schedule with look like.

Keep in mind that the typical light settings aren't designed for the light to necessarily be that close to the corals. Most tanks have it further up so there's coverage of the entire tank. If the RFA starts retreating a lot, you might want to stop upping the lights and assess. At least it can be relied on to tell you it's upset.

Really promising tank start. It almost looks like a display case.

Idk what happened to this little anemone, but it appears to be missing some of its “rim” thing (the orange doesn’t go all the way around). He also let go of the rock, yet he isn’t “melting” yet. Any suggestions?

Some of the tentacles missing would probably be physical damage. Could another coral have stung it? Anything in the tank that might have tasted it?

Put it up against where the rockwork meets the sand, and monitor closely. If it starts turning inside-out, it's dying and should be removed.

The only thing in this tank is the ocasional bristleworm, and another RFA (that stays on the opposite side)

Some good news...

My anemone ate for its first time last night (since December 21, 2020).

Since my last post, I had an outbreak of some sort of algae. I took a hermit crab from my other tank, and he (now named Hermy) is in the process of completely cleaning the tank.

I also attached another piece of macro algae to the back panel of glass.

Before Hermy:

Now that school and finals are over, I have the time that this aquarium needs badly.
While I don’t have any before pictures, I do have post water change and cleaning pictures. 2E5CA439-9FBF-4788-B793-41CD2653379B.thumb.jpeg.7f3a30b1377ebc11c10acc833f32db35.jpeg
I added new macro algae as the last piece I put in there was smothered out by the pest algae. BE827D38-F3FC-460B-8008-FFCCD0312405.thumb.jpeg.7daa1f7ae784a00fb450d9ccc0429fe9.jpeg
Hermy was posing for a picture!

My RFA didn’t look too happy afterwards, but it will come around in a while.
