Snow_Phoenix
Replaced the media and cleaned the glass today evening. Also scrubbed the wavemaker and left it to dry outside before re-inserting it into the tank. Corals are quite cranky, so an 80% WC has been tentatively set for tomorrow. debbeach13
I don't know your grumpy corals look as good if not better than my happy corals! Good morning, Bullet. Any improvements in Bullets appetite? 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Good morning, Bullet. Any improvements in Bullets appetite? Not much improvement, I'm afraid. He keeps spitting out food, which I find odd, because he used to have a healthy appetite. I've tried baiting him with Prime Reef Flakes as well, but so far no go. 😞 His weight is average for now - he used to be thicker. 😕 My guess is that he has developed partial immunity towards velvet (which killed Pickle the clownfish), but the disease appears to have affected his appetite. I tried garlic-soaking, but still not much of a response. I'm still trying to come up with a way to safely remove him to QT him, and let the DT go fallow for 60+ days. For now, I'm merely observing him. 2 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Completed an 80% WC around 1+ hour ago. I'm wiped out though. Not feeling well again, and very fatigued. 😕 Corals are definitely cranky today - more so than yesterday. I'll need to purchase more Fritz RPM salt soon - I only have ~3.5 bags left. I'm pretty sure salt prices have increased again, but I'll have to check. I spotted Shrimpy scramble over Mushroom Mountain for a short while. He molted recently, but lost a claw in the process. Will take a while and a few more molts before it can grow back. Also, I had to toss out that one badly bleached yuma - it was melting and already stinking. I quickly shuffled around my remaining yumas to cover up the barren space. I still have room for 3 small yumas in the yuma garden - so I'll keep an eye out for different colored ones at the LFS the next time I drop by. Zoa Garden looks okay - but a few zoas have been discolored/become lackluster due to the stretched out WC (last WC was actually 3 weeks ago). I'll try to keep up with the weekly WCs. I had to push this tank's schedule behind because of the greenwater issue in my discus tank, and now that I've resolved that, things should slowly fall back in track. I'll take more pics once everything settles down - which should be sometime tomorrow. 3 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
I have some pics of the tank today that I wanted to share with all of you, but something went awry with my premium membership today so I'm trying to contact CM, and hopefully it can get sorted out. Until then, no direct uploads - but here are the links to the pics in my Insta: Colorful corals: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cqfa-OrLyES/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CqfbDtSLYGe/ FTS today: https://www.instagram.com/p/CqfbIWnrGP_/ I could attempt to copy-paste the pics from my SM profiles onto here, but the quality will be very poor and grainy. 😕 So Insta-links it is, for now. Hope that's okay. 🌺 2 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Some of my corals are still retracted and cranky. A few zoa polyps are still closed too - but mostly because Geralt the hermit trampled over them earlier. FTS taken today on 01/04/23: 4 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Few more pics today. Some shrooms near & far: Orange leptastrea was very happy today. Full PE. 🥰 Acans: 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
My duncan with 13 heads: Zoa Ledges #2 & #3 are almost fully packed. Zoa Ledge #1 still has barren patches: ^Colors of the last 2 pics came out darker because my hand was partially shading the light. Can you spot my tiny rasta polyps? 👀 Few zoa polyps are still retracted and moody. My lime green monti frag has encrusted to the LR and is slowly growing out though! 🥰 2 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Also, several FTSes taken today on 03/04/23: Today's pics were taken under a higher-than-usual ratio of blues. When paired with the yellow lens filter I used over my phone's camera (S9, shot in manually adjusted settings in Pro-Mode), it really made the colors pop - especially the reds, blues & purples. I toy around with different aquarium light settings (adjusted manually) to try & get as accurate-as-possible pics of my tank. It's colorful in RL, but I still haven't been able to capture the exact shades of *every coral *all at *once. Maybe one day I will, but for now, I just take pics for fun. Helps me de-stress too. 🤷♀️ 3 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Shifted over some of my homebred saltwater molly fry to this tank today! They're still small, but have a robust immune system. 👍 Reduced the ISO in this next pic to see them better - corals look faded out due to low ISO, but their colors are actually vivid in RL: Also, I love this corner of the tank: 🥰 2 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Zoa Garden from above. 🥰 SPS-mix corner: Whiplash blasto merlettis: Coral cluster: Christmas favia spreading out: Also, all 3 mollies survived their first night in the nano! 🥰👍 3 Quote Link to comment
