Snow_Phoenix
Qin's okay, but looking a bit slender - his belly isn't full/bulging yet because I haven't fed him breakfast (just turned on the lights) : 😅 His dorsal view seems okay though - I think he has the potential to thicken out like my spotted mandarin, Poseidon. Only time will tell: 🤷♀️ 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Not feeling too well, so I took a short nap. Here's the view from my bed: 🥰💦 A closer look: Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Bubbly yuma: The setosa fraglet appears to have lost flesh at one of its tips. Will monitor it. I like the orange flowery polyps that it has though! 😄 : 2 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
These pieces are growing quicker than expected - especially the ponape: Qin arguing with his reflection: 😅 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Took some quick topview pics of some of the corals. 😊 Bicolor blasto: Red finger leather has developed more 'fingers' : B.O.P. seriatopora with a setosa fraglet next to it: Weeping willow toadstool: Purple ponape branching out: 🤗 The cyphastrea and the leptastrea are about to meet! : Sunny Ds: Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
The Purple Death palys will need to be fragged again soon. 🤔 : Qin foraging for pellets on the Zoa Ledge: 😊 I took another pic of the Zoa Ledge without Qin in it, and it came out too white. I tried adjusting the white balance, but the coral colors are still paled out. 🤔 : Will try taking a better pic tomorrow. The blue agaves look washed out, and that's completely off. In RL, they're quite red. Will tinker around with my light & camera settings, and hopefully I can get a more accurate pic of it. 👍 1 Quote Link to comment

growsomething
Snow, I really like the use of a little macro with the corals. Makes tanks seem more real, less like a frag tank. 1 Quote Link to comment

The fern caulerpa is dominating so far and growing. I keep having to prune it back every week whenever I WC the tank. Quote Link to comment

Hoping the corals will grow out even more before the year ends. I intend to frag some of them and sell the frags through my LFS. 😊 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Well, I woke up this morning to my brains attempting to eat each other: 😱 Had to separate them using a large bamboo chopstick, then push the rainbow brain away a little. I think my damsel, Sapphire, dug a small cave between the two of them, causing the rainbow brain to tilt and fall into the red lobo. Sapphire's quite mischievious - half my time is spent trying to undo the chaos she causes in the tank (burying corals with sand, feeding one frag to another, flipping frags upside down, throwing frags all over the place etc. 🙄 ). She's feisty, and I like her, but she can be a pain when she attempts to rescape my tank every evening & night. 😕 I also found a medium-sized aiptasia on one of my zoa colonies: 🙄 So I'm going to try and smother it with a small blob of coral glue. It's already started to sting nearby polyps, including my UC, so I have to get rid of it - fast. Harold is still enjoying the company of pavona: And here's my mini red bali carpet nem: Will feed it a smidge of mysis later. 👍 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Qin: 😊 (Notice who's trying to photobomb this pic? 😉) : Dorsal view of Panda the clownfish: She shimmies a lot, so it's hard to get a clear shot of her from the side. I'll *try to take a better pic though! 🤔 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
The floss was very icky so I replaced it: I also took out my tiny weapon a.k.a. the coral glue: 😅 And applied it over the aiptasia *generously: As I was putting this colony back into the water, I noticed something interesting - my primary mini mint green colony, which was devastated by the pox weeks ago, has partially regrown. 😊 I couldn't get a good pic of it because it's well-hidden under my clove polyps, but I'm happy it's making a comeback. The Furan 2 treatment did work to a certain extent I suppose, and although I did lose several zoa morphs, I could save most of them. The discolored and shrunken polyps will need more time to heal though. I'm still keeping up with my WCs and dosing Vit. C once every three days, so hopefully that'll help in the long run. 🤔 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
I tried to take a pic of Prowler, my circus barred goby, but he swam off into the darkness as soon as he spotted me. 😭 So I ended up taking a sideview pic of Zen the shrimp instead: Coral wars are still going on between these two - I think I'll have to relocate the loser, but I'm not sure where to put it. The 60G, maybe? 🤔 : Algae in my sandbed, as befitting of a young tank: Time to stir it. 🥢 1 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
This shroom packs quite a sting: I noticed the edges of my Superman monti has lost flesh because it was in direct contact with the shroom. Will have to move the monti, in that case. 🤔 Microgoni still growing: Mini macro forest on the right side of the tank: 🌱 2 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
My internet connection is quite rocky today, so I'm having difficulties posting/editing pics & vids on Insta. So I'll just stick up pics directly here first. 👍 Harvey: 🤗 Zen & Harvey together - I observed them for a bit: When Harvey the Saron got too close to Zen the zanzibar's cave, Zen simply lifted his main claws and gently bumped them against Harvey's back to shoo him off. No aggression, from what I witnessed, but definitely each shrimp needs its own safe place/hideout & territory. 👍 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Weeping willow toadstool looks brownish under the yellow clip on filter lens - it's actually green with pink/white-tipped polyps: Brown slime algae on the montihat. Urgh. 🙄 : It's like cyano, but the brown version. Gross, but normal in a new tank with lots of pooping fish, I guess. 🤷♀️ Quote Link to comment
