Snow_Phoenix
I took these pics under heavy whites with a clip on filter - so the colors are a bit washed out. 🤔 Green favites: Valida: Tenuis: Harold getting comfy: 🦀 Caught Qin smooching the glass: He has no regrets: 😅 2 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Remember the very shrunken green blastos which were originally seated on a clump of macro in one corner of the tank? Well, they're making a comeback and recovery has been good so far: Complete regrowth will take weeks to months though. The trumpet coral is recovering quite well too: 🤗 Harvey in camomode: Bubbly yuma up close: Purple encrusting monti: I still have patches of brown algae on my rocks, sand and the montihat, but besides looking unsightly, it doesn't appear to be bothering anything. 👍 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Tubbs blue zoas: 🥰 Purple Monster zoas has 3 heads now: Rainbow yodas have 4 heads - 4th head is still tiny & developing: The skittles has almost regained full color, and the Incinerator polyp now has streaks of pink (?) on the surface. The purple hornets are still very shrunken and washed out, but are still alive: This part of the Zoa Ledge is growing well: Other parts of the Zoa Garden, excluding the Zoa Tower: My mint greens (near the clove polyps) are finally regrowing after nearly being wiped out by the pox. I think the radioactive dragon eyes didn't survive the pox though, which sucks. 😓 I *might head down to my secondary LFS one of these days to pick up more zoas. They had some beautiful beige ones with red skirts which I liked. 🥰 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Guess who popped up today? 😊 I didn't even realize Minx's nems were green until today. 😅 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
The previous pics & vid was taken with the flash on. These were taken without the flash: 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Pic-heavy update! 😊 Qin waiting patiently for dinner over the Zoa Ledge: I noticed the paint at the bottom of my light's clamp was flaking off because of prolonged contact with SW, so I lowered my water levels and adjusted it: Kraken lurking: My superman monti was getting badly stung by one of my shrooms, and has lost some flesh, so I moved it further up the rocks: 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
I took several pics of various corals today. Mostly to check up on their health & growth 😊 : My neon tenuis wasn't doing too well in the corner, where the light was limited. I only noticed it had lost flesh on one side yesterday, so today I moved to Coralline Ledge, under direct light: My mint greens are regrowing slowly - but at least they are bouncing back from the pox: Orange leptastrea: Purple ponape birdsnest: Neon spongodes: Purple digi (has regained color - was originally brown when I bought it) : The whiplash merlettis are standing strong against the John Deere leptastrea: 2 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Sunflower zoas: Bicolored blasto: Two different types of GSP: Yuma: Weeping willow toadstool leather: Jack-O-Lantern leptoseris: 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Green favites: Red lobo brain: Bonsai acro: Orange Passion tenuis: After adding Qin, my mandy, to this tank, I realized a lot of frags have colored up and are growing well. I do have algae as well, but I think the increased nutrients from the increased feedings and fish poop are benefitting most of the corals in the nano. 👍 I also WCed 4G of SW in the tank today, swapped the floss & carbon, and performed routine maintenance. I'm sticking to my routine of doing once-a-week WCs for now, and dosing as needed. 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Some of my palys today morning: Green implosion: Fairy dust: Nuclear death: Utter Chaos & Metallic Green: Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Radioactive birdsnest is branching out nicely: 😊 A different angle of the tenuis: Mini red carpet nem: And I'm not sure if I can save this one: 😭 It looks awful and some stubborn algae has completely taken over the dead areas - I can't even brush it off using a toothbrush. 😓 I tried cutting through the frag plug to save the fleshy-still-alive areas but the plug is thick and my cutters are too small. I guess I'll try taking it to my primary LFS and see if they can help trim it for me - after the lockdown is over, of course. 🤔 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Took some close ups of some of the zoas in the evening. 😊 Tubbs blue: Butt Munchers: Orange bam bams: An unknown morph which I kinda like - it has pink rings around the mouth: Clove polyps: Sideview: Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Harvey the saron shrimp: He's pretty cool: 😊 Took some pics of Qin the mandy too. His fins are beautiful from the backview: Sorry if the pics look bleached. The lights were set at heavy whites and my yellow filter cast an anemic shade on everything. 😕 Anyhow, here's Qin chasing his reflection: He always does this after a full meal. 😊 2 Quote Link to comment
Murphs_Reef
What's your lighting schedule like now Snow? Those zoas look very tight and colour popping. Really love the use of the macros in the DT as well 👍🏼 1 Quote Link to comment

Really love the use of the macros in the DT as well 👍🏼 I believe it is 80% blues & 90% whites. I think I should reverse it though. 🤔 Some of my zoas at the very edges are stretching - but the polyps in the middle, under direct light are doing fine. Growth has slowed down a little after the pox issue, but I'm hoping it'll pick up again in 2 to 3 months. And I love the macro too! Will probably try to add more around the right edges of the tank if I can. 😊 3 Quote Link to comment

Looks so nice 👍🏼 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
My trochus snail pair munching on film algae: Zen: 😊 Harold had a successful molt overnight. He's still content with staying on my pavona: 😅 2 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Sunny Ds. 🥰 : Neon tenuis: Whiplash merlettis: O.P. tenuis has distinct purple and blue tips now! 🥰 : Bonsai up close: Pink/green monti is a bit washed out though: 🤔 Maybe I should place it higher up, under direct light. 🤔 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Neon spongodes has added a few more tiny branches: 😊 Bubbly yuma up close: Chili pepper monti-fusion frag: Microgoni is still growing: 👍 Purple digi with mild PE when I just turned the lights on for the day: 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Having a nasty algae outbreak. Brown slime on the sand and on some corals: 🙄 These two tried to eat each other - again! 🤐 : Thinking of putting a small piece of LR as a 'barrier' between the two of them. Hopefully this will also discourage Sapphire from digging a burrow between both corals and cause them to lean into each other. 🤔 1 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Loving these two softies: 🥰 Tiny cloves spotted trying to conquer the adjacent frag plug! 🤐 : Waiting for this guy to split someday so that I can sell the extra nems for pocket money: 1 Quote Link to comment

Could be. 🤔 But if I reduce the whites, then there won't be enough light (overall) for the SPS or the nems. The unit is only 30W at max. output. I was debating of picking up a second unit, but I can't afford a new, extra unit atm. So I'll have to wait & be patient. 2 Quote Link to comment

It's actually a very good budget light. I'm quite content with it and got mine during a hot flash sale online. 😊 2 Quote Link to comment
