You mentioned the ATI Straton earlier in your thread. Are you still thinking of getting one? I just saw them online last week and I am intrigued. Has to be the most streamlined looking fixture. It would look great over my tank with the matching white stand. Lol

I'm probably going to get two to put over an Elos 120XL that's still dry, white Euro style stand

 

But I am working on it slowly

 

I will say that Ecotech was rather responsive with the defective XR15.  Replacement is on its way, will be here Monday..

 

Back in my LED fabrication days,, I always thought a panel light would produce T5 type diffusion and less shadowed coverage than tight packed LED coverage as was available back then

 

The Straton was almost what I had envisioned. Which was more like the LED panels that photographers use for diffuse light, except blue instead of white LEDs

Well, the Ecotech XR15 advance replacement

And was bad out of box

 

The fan doesn't turn on, and when it is supposed to, an internal circuit breaker trips and turns the light off entirely

 

I'm getting tired of this @#$%!

 

I should probably just send it all back.  And get a Mitras instead

I dip everything

 

I suspect Revive and Coral Rx are the same product, just different concentrations

 

Per gallon dip

 

1) 4 Capfuls of Revive

2) A dropperful of concentrated Coral Rx

3) Two droppers of Lugols

4) 10 mls of imidacloprid 22%

 

Only 'pest' was a baby brittle star that the dip unfortunately killed

 

WWC has very clean corals

I just cut the top off this digi and left it in my grow out because of all the crap growing on it. Other than that everything else I received was pretty clean.

Are you sure that came from WWC or is it just a WWC SoAndSo coral?  Seems pretty tame for what they normally sell.

Dicking around with the lights

 

I neglected my corals.  Several of them went to war. The red micro literally ate a large zoa polyp. I was thinking yesterday how nice they were playing together

 

Anyway, found some frags that made it into the sand and under rocks.

 

Pulled the Bubble Gum Digi out and reglued to a new frag plug. It's been down there for a short week, we shall see how it does

It’s a WWC Green Digitata. I clipped the top and mounted that to a plug to skip having whatever was on that frag in my tank.
