Elizabeth94
You mentioned the ATI Straton earlier in your thread. Are you still thinking of getting one? I just saw them online last week and I am intrigued. Has to be the most streamlined looking fixture. It would look great over my tank with the matching white stand. Lol 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Lol Yes I'm probably going to get two to put over an Elos 120XL that's still dry, white Euro style stand But I am working on it slowly I will say that Ecotech was rather responsive with the defective XR15. Replacement is on its way, will be here Monday.. Back in my LED fabrication days,, I always thought a panel light would produce T5 type diffusion and less shadowed coverage than tight packed LED coverage as was available back then The Straton was almost what I had envisioned. Which was more like the LED panels that photographers use for diffuse light, except blue instead of white LEDs This video was convincing, see at 2:30 3 Quote Link to comment
farkwar
Pretty sure I should have taken the stand out of the box before I ordered the yoga mat Stand already comes with neoprene on the top and sump shelf. Oof! Maybe I should take up yoga, the reefer gods must be telling me. Or at least do some situps to get rid of my Covid-20 1 Quote Link to comment

farkwar
5 gallon water change Dosed Fed Went by the LFS that got me into reefing Man is his place depressing. Wearing a mask, I pretend not to know him. And thankfully he does the same. I bought 3 Reef Nutrition bottles, and at higher than retail I should have checked them closer One expires this month One expired in August of 2019 I don't even want to go back in to get refund it's so darn depressing 2 Quote Link to comment
farkwar
Pretty sure these are WWC Nirvanas The way the low light made them tonight, caught my eye Quote Link to comment
farkwar
Gawd that pic is bad The tips were a beautiful florescent yellow The disk was halfway between pink and purple, like it couldn't make up it's mind IRL I still remember an authoritative source stating, in the 70s, that the difference between normal colors and florescent colors were that florescent colors were not found in nature Man, were scientists in the 70s wrong, or what? 1 Quote Link to comment
farkwar
Tank is looking good. A couple limpets have climbed into a corner, after running out of food on the rocks Can't budge them without breaking them or the glass That's a good sign There's still crap Merkin Sludge Algae in the tank. Just where they can't get to it. It's not on coral or frag plugs, like. Quote Link to comment
farkwar
I need to move the ricordea to the bottom of the tank Thinking of removing as much Red Sea hard piping from the 170. Replacing with silicone tubing I need to find my calipers to measure out the Red Sea metric stuff Quote Link to comment
farkwar
Well, the Ecotech XR15 advance replacement Came in yesterday And was bad out of box The fan doesn't turn on, and when it is supposed to, an internal circuit breaker trips and turns the light off entirely I'm getting tired of this @#$%! I should probably just send it all back. And get a Mitras instead 1 Quote Link to comment

I dip everything I suspect Revive and Coral Rx are the same product, just different concentrations Per gallon dip 1) 4 Capfuls of Revive 2) A dropperful of concentrated Coral Rx 3) Two droppers of Lugols 4) 10 mls of imidacloprid 22% Only 'pest' was a baby brittle star that the dip unfortunately killed WWC has very clean corals 1 Quote Link to comment
I'm Batman
I just cut the top off this digi and left it in my grow out because of all the crap growing on it. Other than that everything else I received was pretty clean. 1 Quote Link to comment
farkwar
Yikes! My CUC is like 4 or 6 times normal That algae wouldn't make it a night in my tank Are you sure that came from WWC or is it just a WWC SoAndSo coral? Seems pretty tame for what they normally sell. Quote Link to comment
farkwar
Anyway Dicking around with the lights I neglected my corals. Several of them went to war. The red micro literally ate a large zoa polyp. I was thinking yesterday how nice they were playing together Anyway, found some frags that made it into the sand and under rocks. Pulled the Bubble Gum Digi out and reglued to a new frag plug. It's been down there for a short week, we shall see how it does 5 gallon water change Some Reef Nutrition And Zeo and AA dosing 2 Quote Link to comment

I clipped the top and mounted that to a plug to skip having whatever was on that frag in my tank. 1 Quote Link to comment
