Corals in Frag Plug

Hi All -

Question for you - I am currently using a Fluval 2.6 gallon tank.. it is going to be coral and invert only.

I was wondering about corals in frag rack, I understand the use of them but wanted to know (due to size of tank and trying to somewhat separate soft from hard) is it possible to leave coral frags in plugs forever?

Coral frags don't care if they're on a plug or rock, as long as it's solid. However, they will eventually grow off the plug, and try to encrust onto your frag rack unless moved or trimmed back.

Thank you for the response... I was thinking of having it on the back wall and allowing them to just grow on the wall .... thank you !
