Saltysheep
I used to have a Pom Pom crab in my 10 gal years ago and did well. I target fed it. Now I am considering a porcelain crab either for my 10 gal or 30 gal, the 30 gal has one blue legged hermit. Can they be housed together or should I keep them separate? I know hermits in the past have killed my ceriths so I only keep trochus snails with hermits in the same tank. Quote Link to comment
sublunary
I've kept blue legs with both pom pom crabs and porcelain crabs. Never saw them bother either. 1 Quote Link to comment
Saltysheep
Thanks! @sublunary I know sometimes hermits can be murderers, good to hear it can work out. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Porcelain crabs are pretty docile. They are filter feeders so you shouldn't have an issue with them. I can't same the same for pom pom crabs. I know mine killed things including another pom pom 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Porcelain crabs have large claws and can and will defend themselves if needed. I have never seen a hermit mess with them. 2 Quote Link to comment
