JimmyNeutronium
Hi, noobie here, just wanted to see if anyone had any experience installing a media reactor in the Biocube 16. It would be mainly for carbon and occasional GFO. I’ve looking into some of the nano reactors out there, but none seem to fit in the biocube. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them! seabass
Welcome to Nano-Reef.com. While there is probably something the fits, I'm not sure what it is. I'd probably consider a simple media basket from inTank Aquatics: https://intankaquatics.com/shop-by-tank/biocube/coralife-biocube-16/ GFO has its own hurdles anyway. Plus, if you absolutely need to reduce phosphate, you can add a little Phosguard to your activated carbon, or put it in its own media bag. With a media rack, there is nothing to breakdown, no power (or added heat), and it's efficient. Seems like a reasonable approach to what you are trying to accomplish. Quote Link to comment
