Sycamoron
Question about adding the 1 ml of reagent to the cuvette. The instructions say to add exactly 1 ml of the reagent to the cuvette. If you put that plastic tip on the 1 ml syringe and draw up reagent, aren't you adding more than 1 ml because of the amount in the tip? Quote Link to comment
jservedio
No - the tip is filled with air, so you will have a tiny bit of air between the top of the liquid in the syringe barrel and the bottom of the plunger. Always measure from the widest part of the plunger. Also, as long as you are being consistent in how you measure 1ml, even if you aren't doing it right, and a few hundredths of a ml off it's still fine. The raw number doesn't really matter, just that the number is stable. 2 Quote Link to comment
