tmc1313
Small update:I had some time yesterday to move some of my sticks onto the new rockwork. Not my favorite thing to do. Broke some things, glued some things that didn't need to be glued (like my fingers), ticked some things off, but I got a lot of it done. I'll keep it all in the main/stable tank for now, until I feel it's safe to make the transfer to the new build. Here's a quick preview of what my not so distant future reef tank will be. 3 6 Quote Link to comment
tmc1313
Took some quick cell phone shots of some of the pieces. Quality is not great and these are unedited. I really should brush up on my photography skills. I really think reefkeeping and photography go hand in hand. Where to find the time????? Anyway, here's what I took: 5 Quote Link to comment
ReefGoat
Very nice. Love what you've got going on here. Here's to hoping I can produce results like this. I've never been more determined lol. 1 Quote Link to comment
ECLS Reefer
That’s going to look amazing when it fills in and the sand is down. Really really nice! Quote Link to comment

tmc1313
New light rack installed yesterday. Decided on using three AI primes. Should work well over the 22 gallon. I have been using four over a 65 gallon with good results. Sorry for the photo looking so dark. I didn't turn the room lights on. The two aluminum posts you can see are the remnants of the old light rack. Once the new tank replaces the current tank they will be gone. Better lighting..... 10 Quote Link to comment
tmc1313
So I managed to get the tank setup over the weekend and moved all the livestock over. Here are some pics of the setup as a whole with no lights on. I haven't taught myself how to take good pics of the whole setup with the lights on yet. I'm still deciding on coral placement for a couple of pieces, but overall it's almost complete. I will get some tank pics with lights on once the scaping is done. closest open gas station 6 1 Quote Link to comment

tmc1313
Ok, as promised I just took some lights on pics. This isn't exactly the final look, but very close. The sand will be cleaned up and a few coral pieces won't be making the cut, so it will look a bit more tidied up then what you see. Most of the coral are still a little p***** off, but hopefully in time the colors will be popping. 8 2 Quote Link to comment

Love the plumbing especially. Thank you! The light mount was actually a 3-light track light. I just had the idea to remove the stock lights and gut everything. Then I mounted the Primes in their place. Once I had it all back together, I mounted the whole fixture to a floating shelf. Next, I will order a couple bookends and put some aquarium Literature on the shelf to finish it off. Quote Link to comment

Architank
Awesome Build! Super clean! I'm wanting my next tank to be the same dimensions. Did you ever test it with just 2 lights? Quote Link to comment

Did you ever test it with just 2 lights? Hi Architank, Thanks! I really like the size of the tank. After downsizing from my 65 gallon I was worried I wouldn't be happy with it, but it's been just the opposite. I don't get the "feel" that it's a nano, but it comes across as so much bigger. I think it's partly due to the dimensions among other things. If your going to want predominantly SPS across the length of the tank two primes won't cut it, you will need three, but if you only want a few SPS pieces placed under the light with softies and LPS place out to the sides then two would work. 1 Quote Link to comment

tmc1313
Not really anything new. Just wanted to show a better photo of my floating shelf / light rack. You couldn't make it out that well with the room lights out. 8 Quote Link to comment
