What sort of crab is this?

It looks like a mithrax crab- the group emerald crabs are in. People buy them on purpose sometimes, but when hungry, or when they grow to full size, they can be a threat to small fish, slow inverts, or coral. If you keep it, you'll want to be sure to feed it very well. If you want to rehome it, you may find someone who wants to take it- they do make good eaters of long hair algae, and sometimes of bubble algae.
