Gunner24 Posted March 3 So here is the latest on the Reef Bowl. At this point, its about 6 months in 😁 went through its ugly phase with a nice dusting of diatoms everywhere but that all cleared up in a few weeks. Weekly water changes have been the norm, although i have missed a few of them.... Overall, everything seems to be running pretty well! I do have some bryopsis in a few spots but nothing i cant live without so im just trimming it when possible. I did notice that there are an absurd amount of copepods in this bowl and it looks like they might even be munching on the bryopsis; or at least hanging out all over it lol I am happy with the anacropora as it has definitely grown quite a bit. Also have some mystic sunset monti that i threw in there from cleaning up the mother colony and its beginning to encrust on the rock, so mission success there Green Galaxea did not make it though. I moved it from its orginal spot and everything went south from there.... but the other is doing really well with lots of new growth at the base Mushrooms are doing great and think that is what ill be focusing on for the sandbed. First time trying Ricordea's since my initial endeavour in reef-keeping and wow, are they pretty! Finally, Goniopora is doing well and beginning to encrust onto the rock, so think that one is a success as well.
