Theshivinator
Hey Everyone ! I made a post about this in my aquarium Journal but also wanted to make a separate post to see if I can get some suggestions My toadstool seems to be turning yellow at its base. I just noticed tonight , but during the day it opens up with full polyp extension and looks healthy. Does this look like it’s rotting ? And if so what should I do ? All other corals are happy & healthy . Quote Link to comment
Tired
Oh, that doesn't look right. Is there anything nearby that could be stinging it? It almost looks like a sponge or something is growing up its base. Is it possible the yellow is something encrusted onto it? Quote Link to comment

Is it possible that could be it ? Would it have a negative effect ? Quote Link to comment
Tired
No, I mean I wonder if the yellow area itself is actually a sponge. How closely have you looked at it? 1 Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Fleshy coloured leathers often look yellow when they shrink/shrivel up. When i purchased mine it was sold as a yellow fiji but once it was happy and expanded in my tank it no longer has the yellow to it. 1 Quote Link to comment
