Algae on snail

Here’s a photo of my snail upside down.

 

he hasn’t moved for an hour so I couldn’t get a brighter picture.

 

he has various type of algae growing on his shell lol, only place right now in this tank.

 

How do I get rid of this easy without harming him lol.

Just pull him out into a wee bowl of tank water and clean him from there?

like just scrub it with a brush huh? I'm just not sure if it will all come off like that properly?

Try rubbing it off. Btw flip him over

Shouldn't be a need to do anything about it.  

 

Just let it be and admire his cool "hair cut".  🙂

Bringing this back up because i'm curious what type of algae this is. Anyone know? I'm talking about the longer green algae. 

 

Also, is it possible for that algae to spread onto the rock? Because im pretty sure that happened with mine. Came from the lfs with thats same algae. After a few weeks i stated noticing it growing on most of my rock.
