Batmom2016
It broke off a much larger coral that came in on some live rock when I started my tank the bigger coral has since died (I’m assuming the cycle killed it, or the transport being out of water for several hours) but this piece has been hanging around. It has gained some color lately and was curious if you guys think it is dead or can be saved? I glued it to a Little Rock so it doesn’t get blasted around by the flow. (Been battling with dinos and cyano lately hence the brown sand) Quote Link to comment
applejk
If it's changing color that's a good sign and no algae growing on it. It looks like a soft coral, correct? I think it probably is alive. What are your levels at now? Quote Link to comment

It doesn’t have any polyps out that I can see. But it is starting to get more color than it did before. it’s also quite solid. Quote Link to comment

I noticed that after I tried to glue it 3 times 😬 how do I fix it down? Right now it’s sitting inside of a small snail shell to keep it from blowing around in the tank. Quote Link to comment
GTi
You can put it in a small container full of rubble rock in a low flow area and it will attach after a week or two. For larger frags you can hold them to a rock with a rubber band or even tie them on with fishing line (use a needle through the base). 1 Quote Link to comment
