Got bit by the jar bug.

Well as the title suggests I got the jar bug and snagged one up the other day and threw this together today. Sorry I’m not a photo pro.

The rate that I have decimated reef tanks in the past LR in a jar might be my safest bet. Yeah hope to make it a tiny little mixed reef.

I want to start a pico as well. I'll be following this with interest.

 

Was the LR cycled? or dry?

Little bit of both on the rock. I have a fair amount of dry rock and snagged a couple of pieces from the LFS to seed the dry.

What's the round piece? It looks a little like a fake egg, but I'm assuming you didn't just put a fake egg in the jar.

lol nope not a fake egg. It is however fake and it is a Death Star. I wanted to make this different than the norm and I want to encrust something. As far as stock goes it will be whatever I can come up with on the cheap and easy to care for. Love ricordeas and Zoas so I’ll probably start there and maybe some simple lps and sps.
