Nokare
I have an old nano calcium reactor that I picked up years ago. It is just the base, cylinder, lid, and uniseals. I was planning on using this as a second gassing chamber for my geo 618.I got all the plumbing I thought I needed and turns out the uniseals are not 1/2. Is there any way I can slightly enlarge these holes to make them 1/2? Photo of existing hole and a 1/2 uniseal. Quote Link to comment
Nokare
Was considering a step bit. Never used one before and not sure about on acrylic, especially a cylinder. 1 Quote Link to comment
Christopher Marks
@Nokare A step bit should work just fine, that's probably your best option for keeping it centered and clean. You could enlarge the hole by hand with a wood file and some patience. Working with acrylic is pretty similar to working with wood, and many woodworking bits and blades can be used. This guy is extra salty
When drilling run it in reverse (conventional cut) Quote Link to comment
Nokare
The length of the step bit proves to be an issue. By the time it gets to the diameter I need the length will be drilling th other end of the cylinder. I am working it with a file/burr bit. Quote Link to comment
