tzink
Dissolved oxygen meters seem to be minimum $150. Is this a valuable piece of information to track for a reef aquarium? Quote Link to comment
Matteo
Not really. If your coral and fish are thriving then just a waste imo. Buy a nice coral instead 🙂 Quote Link to comment

Is this a valuable piece of information to track for a reef aquarium? Depends on you level of curiosity. It's not on the list of reef necessities at all. But it would be a VERY interesting data point to have available occasionally. Meters have an Achilles heel though....they require routine calibration. So you only want a meter for a parameter that really is truly important to monitor in real time. If you were running a high-density fish operation, the answer would go the other way.....mandatory.
