Doc_
I'm setting up a new 100g system and am wondering if there are any advantages or disadvantages to starting a tank with NSW from a biodiversity standpoint. Being fairly close to the ocean there are several services here where people collect NSW offshore most weekends and I was wondering if with my new tank I should start it with NSW or use RODI and Synthetic salt. Is there any real advantage going the NSW path ? Substrate wise I'll be starting with live sand and rock wise I'll be doing a transfer from my 30g mixed with new dry rock. I have also been seeding some bio media for a bit over a month. Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
Probably plankton and biodiversity. I would do it if I could. The bad is probably fish disease and pests. Quote Link to comment
